Leslie's approach to this business hasn't changed since her earliest days as a broker: do what's best for the client, full stop. That principle followed her when she went independent, and it's the same one she built The Shields Agency around.
What has changed is everything behind that principle. Over the years, Leslie has built out the technology, infrastructure, people, and processes needed to serve business clients well, not just individuals, so that same client-first approach could scale into something bigger than one person could carry alone.
Being independent, and woman-led, rather than part of a massive national agency, shapes how the whole team shows up for clients. Leslie has run a business herself, hired people herself, and felt the weight of decisions like these herself.
