These Terms are a legal agreement between you and The Shields Agency. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Site.

The Services

The Site provides general information about group health benefits, individual and self-employed coverage options, and related insurance products, for general informational and educational purposes. The Site allows you to request a consultation, submit your contact information, and connect with a member of our team to discuss your coverage needs. We are a licensed insurance agency.

The Site does not provide instant, binding insurance quotes or online insurance purchasing. Any coverage options, plan comparisons, or pricing information discussed through our Services are non-binding until a formal application is submitted to and approved by the applicable insurance carrier. Insurance products and their availability vary by carrier, state, and individual circumstances. Any third-party insurance products you obtain through our assistance are subject to the contract terms of the applicable insurance carrier, and in the event of a conflict between these Terms and the terms of an insurance policy, the terms of the insurance policy control.

By submitting your contact information through the Site, you may be contacted by us regarding the products or services related to your inquiry, by phone, email, or text message, consistent with any consent you provide.

The Site includes a web chat feature. Some or all of your chat conversation may be answered by an AI-assisted system rather than a live team member, and you may request to speak with a member of our team at any point during a chat conversation. Information you share through this feature is subject to our Privacy Policy.

SMS Messaging Terms

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in through the applicable consent option on the Site, you agree to receive text messages from The Shields Agency related to the category or categories you selected, which may include account and appointment notifications, service and support communications, or marketing and promotional messages. Message frequency may vary, and message and data rates may apply.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. To rejoin, sign up again through the Site or reply START where available. For help, reply HELP, or contact us using the information at the end of these Terms. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SMS consent is not a condition of purchase.

WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES REGARDING SUCH PRODUCTS AND ACCEPT NO LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THEM. You are solely responsible for compliance with all laws applicable to your access and use of the Site. Except for proceedings we bring to protect our intellectual property or confidential information, any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the subject matter and supersede all prior agreements or communications on the subject.
